SEW’s meritocratic culture keeps me and my team motivated

I am working as a Technical Manager at SEW, and taking care of our mobile workforce engagement platform – Smart Mobile Workforce (SMW®). I am responsible for the product development, implementations, integrations, and, research & development. My primary focus is to deliver a superior quality product with best user experience. It is crucial to pay attention to details as the mobile platform is used by the field crew of utilities and should be foolproof and user-friendly.

I have been associated with SEW for almost 6 years now. Back then, it was a new experience to work for a growing company as I was offered an interesting work profile. Initially, the journey seemed challenging as we were new in the market, started with a small team and were working on a new product. Over the years, we have seen tremendous growth – we started off in a very small office, and, today the reception area of the office premise is much bigger than the first office. The clarity in the management’s vision and mission is what keeps all of us going. I always wanted to work for an organization where the management values the employees and their well-being and interests are not overlooked. With SEW, I have grown professionally as well as personally as I worked on multiple integrations across various technologies and learnt so many new things.

I am a hard worker, and personally for me, work is worship. SEW has given me the platform to work hard and also taught me to be a smart worker. Many a times, I have been appreciated for my efforts and dedication. The turning point and highlight of my tenure was being awarded as the “Employee of the Year”.

I have been associated with many companies prior to SEW, however, this is my longest tenure with any organization so far. What keeps me and others motivated is that the management gives equal opportunity to all team members so one can show his/her potential and deliver their best. A meritocratic culture based on rewards and recognition attracts talent and gives due acknowledgement to efforts, dedication and sincerity of all employees.
